Stepping away from work and family for a month is a big decision, and it’s easier to make when you know what that month holds. Cliffside West Los Angeles provides residential rehab in Los Angeles for adults 18 and older whose primary diagnosis is a substance use disorder. You’ll live in one of our two Westside homes, each with six beds, alongside a clinical team small enough to know you by name within days. Many people begin with medical detox here and step into residential care without a break once they’re stable. Our detox page covers that first stage.
Questions about residential care? Call (877) 621-5810 day or night

Each week at Cliffside West LA combines one-on-one therapy, group sessions, a psychiatrist visit and at least an hour with your case manager. Your schedule is built around your goals and reviewed every week, so the plan changes as you do.
Including detox, the average stay is more than 30 days, which gives new habits time to take hold. Close to 90% of the people who start treatment here finish it.

So have many of our patients. Your team treats that history as useful information about what didn’t work and builds a different plan around it.
Your admissions specialist can help with FMLA forms or a leave-of-absence request before you arrive. Once you’re here, your case manager keeps your return to work part of the plan.
Your information is kept confidential from the first call. For more than 20 years, Cliffside has cared for executives, professional athletes, musicians and others in public roles, so staff are used to keeping things low-profile.
In-network plans include Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, ComPsych and TriWest (VA Community Care for eligible veterans). Most other plans are accepted out of network, and private pay is available.
Your discharge plan starts on day one. Your case manager helps you line up outpatient care, sober living if you want it, and medical providers in Los Angeles or near your home anywhere in the country. After you leave, you’ll have:
